Objectives
The Indian Geotechnical Society Trichy Chapter aims at promoting co-operation among the Engineers and Scientists for the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in the field of Geotechnical Engineering and related fields. The Society will accomplish its aim by making a concerted effort to educate the Indian Public particularly Tamil Nadu State, about the significance and importance of Geotechnical Engineering and by arranging to render unbiased advice on problems of Geotechnical Engineering. The Society closely interacts with other Engineering Institutions for technology transfer in engineering education and collaborates with maintains active links with industry. IGS Trichy chapter holds conferences, talks, seminars and technical field trips of interest to the members and also hosts or assists the meetings, symposia and seminars related to Geotechnical Engineering.
